The Digital Communications Manager will be an integral part of Conde Nast Entertainment (CNÉ), Condé Nast’s TV, Film, and Digital Video division. Reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing and Distribution, the role will engage not only within Marketing, but across all facets of CNÉ’s digital video business, including Strategy, Development, Production, and Scheduling.
They will contribute on a daily basis to video release and promotion strategy across content for all 20+ Condé Nast brands, including but not limited two Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Wired, The New Yorker, Glamour, and Allure.
Additionally, the role will work on video distribution and positioning strategy for major tent-pole events, such at the Met Gala, GQ’s Men of the Year, Glamour’s Women of the Year, Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party and New Establishment Summit, and The New Yorker Festival.
Finally, the role will focus on The Scene, Condé Nast Entertainment’s premium digital video destination for millennial women. The role will be charged with helping develop the brand of The Scene, promoting the digital video slate, consumer and trade press, and speaking opportunities for The Scene’s leadership team.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Working closely with Marketing, Development, Strategy, and Scheduling to develop long and short term positioning and distribution opportunities for digital video projects
• Producing written materials, including press releases, statements, briefing materials
• Collaborating with Condé Nast Corporate Communications and individual brand PR teams
• Forging relationships with influential individuals throughout the media landscape
• Recognizing and fostering non-traditional means for video coverage and distribution (Reddit, social media influencers, and emerging mobile platforms)
Skills and Qualifications:
• College degree
• 3-5 years relevant experience in digital media, social platforms, and video
• Enthusiasm for the evolving discipline of communications, with a focus on non-traditional activation platforms
• Record of developing and executing successful media strategies
• Relationships with digital media industry contacts- and the creativity to make them where they don’t exist
• Strong pitching, writing and interpersonal skills for communicating with media, internal departments and executive management
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and think creatively- while being incredibly detailed oriented
• A digital culture vulture. Someone who lives and breathes the internet.
