Can you recognize the works of dozens of different artists by style alone? Are you up to speed on our latest games as well as our oldest? Can you tell the difference between an Orc and an Ogre? Can you recommend the most iconic images of Durotan for reference for a new project? There will be a test.
Blizzard’s vault team is looking for someone with a passion for Blizzard Entertainment lore and art with exceptional organizational skills to support the internal asset management and request systems.
As the Asset Coordinator, you will help populate the database with new and legacy art and other creative assets, catalog and organize these assets, work with creative and production leadership across the organization to review and approve assets, and respond to requests from across Blizzard for help in locating and clearing assets for reuse. Solid customer service and time management skills are essential as you will be interfacing with a wide range of colleagues from every part of the organization, often juggling multiple urgent requests that are essential to keeping creative projects on track.
Responsibilities
• Work with creative teams from across the organization to source, review, and ingest high-value assets.
• Catalog and organize assets using consistent and coherent organizational structures and user-friendly metadata.
• Respond to and support asset requests by whatever means necessary; find existing assets within the system, source them from other teams, or coordinate with other teams to create them as needed.
• Work with other members of the vault team to constantly improve its tools, processes, and service levels.
• Help set up vault projects such as the museum and charity auction exhibits at BlizzCon
Requirements
• Deep interest in Blizzard IPs, and demonstrable knowledge of our art culture and lore
• Moderate to expert-level knowledge and experience of digital file formats, particularly digital 2D art formats
• Able to do minor edits and create derivative files from existing art assets using Adobe Photoshop
• Strong customer service and time management skills
Pluses
• Experience working with digital asset management systems a plus
• Experience working in a library or archives
