Blackboard IT is seeking a System Business Analyst of Enterprise Applications. This individual will report to the Director, IT Operations. The Enterprise Applications (EA) team is responsible for working with functional business partners in the selection, design, deployment, support, and on-going enhancement of business applications. This group supports Enterprise ERP ecosystem processes and technology including Human Capital Management(HCM), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Plan-to-Make (PTM), Record-to-Report (RTR) process areas as well as process areas, and provides the mechanism for ensuring consistency and repeatability in how such applications are delivered and managed across the enterprise.
This role will have primary accountability for ERP continuous improvement activities in the PeopleSoft 9.1 GL, AR, Billing, Asset Management, Treasury, and Cash Management and collaboration with Enterprise Support Team to deliver projects, system enhancements and support, system troubleshooting, patch management and overall SLA adherence.
This role will communicate with IT senior management and other business managers in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain to ensure that their IT needs are met and provide consultation with business stakeholders to drive initiatives that Increase Revenue, Avoid Cost, and/or Optimize processes. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager & Release organizations to govern intake System scoping
• System requirements and analysis
• Interpreting business needs for translation into system specifications and functional design
• Liaison between end-users and developers
• Support the development of test plans and provide guidance to the testing team in developing test cases and test scripts
• Represent project stakeholders through the project delivery process
• Provide daily user support and troubleshooting of issues.
• Functional liaison with technical team for issues or enhancements needing IT support, including working with users to provide applicable functional specifications and system testing of IT fixes and enhancements..
Professional Qualifications
Required Skills:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of Techno-functional experience in PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management
• Implementation skills and experience with the application implementation life cycle, including: requirement analysis, fit/gap analysis, application configuration, functional/technical specifications, integration, product enhancement and support
Preferred Skills:
• 5+ years of experience configuring/supporting PeopleSoft GL / AR / Billing/ AM /Treasury/Cash Management is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of Techno-functional experience in PeopleSoft FSCM (version 9.0 or higher)
• At least one full-cycle ERP implementation – transitioning from on premise to cloud ERP application highly preferred
• Understanding of the Oracle and PeopleSoft Internet Architecture and its technical components including: PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Designer, PeopleSoft Cobol, Integration Broker, Component Interface, security, workflow, customization standards, reporting (SQR, Crystal, PS nVision, PS/Query), and PeopleSoft self-service applications
• Hands-on SQL experience using technologies such as MS-SQL and Oracle DB
• Understanding of and some experience with QA methodologies
