Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Audio Development Tester to be part of the Rainbow Six development Team.If you have a passion for audio and videogames and want to work in a friendly and international environment, come join our team!
As a member of a multidisciplinary development team, the Audio Dev. tester will be part of the Audio Design team of Rainbow Six. The candidate will constantly support the development team by identifying sound anomalies before and after their integration in the version of the game and making sure that complex audio mechanics are working properly at all time in game. Audio Dev Testing is becoming more and more the entry point to becoming a skilled audio designer.
Responsibilities:
• Debugging of the various Audio elements (SFX, Music, Foley, Voices, Ambiances)
• Debugging advanced Audio concepts, such as occlusion, propagation and ducking
• Using the various audio tools to debug the audio in game (Wwise, Game editor Profiler)
• Creating test cases for sound validations and overseeing audio testing on the project
• Listening to the game from various perspectives (1st person, 3rd person, multiplayer)
• Engine stability
• Performance
• Crash debugging / Crash reproduction
• Functionality crash classification
• Understand design documents and its representation within the game.
• Use of Audio tools to ensure the quality of our content.
• Follow-ups of integrations vs the milestones and the tasks
• Creation of data to test features.
Qualifications
Required skills and experience:
• Strong Audio Background and knowledge
• Audio school diploma or certificate.
• Passion for Audio
• Passion for games (knowledge of different game genres, consoles and platforms)
• Keen ear for detail, patience and persistence to perform meticulous testing to ensure accuracy at all times
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Fast learner, creative and proactive
• Reliable, punctual and with a positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Very good written English skills. Spanish and French is a plus.
• Knowledge of Wwise and audio middleware a plus.
