SENIOR BUSINESS CONSULTANT – AEC/BIM
The Senior Business Consulting for AEC/BIM is a key role within the Autodesk Consulting (AC) and Global Services organization. Autodesk Consulting is seeking a talented individual to join our team and be responsible for thought leadership with our customers and internal teams around AEC and BIM, to help develop and execute the Autodesk Consulting delivery portfolio around our AEC and BIM products, act as a key advisor for select customer opportunities, and participate in internal team improvement initiatives.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrates excellence in strategic thinking, engagement planning, business process optimization, and communications.
• Leads and/or participates in the thought development around new and expanded offerings as part of a comprehensive consulting delivery portfolio.
• Identifies and articulates the business benefits of Autodesk’s solutions to key project stakeholders by successfully creating a vision that will justify investment.
• Be a trusted business partner for the peers and for the customer.
• Help prepare, review, and manage deliverables to the customer.
• Proactive management and planning for deliverable execution
• Creates and manages processes, priorities and ownership for deliverable work streams
• Attends all customer meetings and helps to lead workshops, reports on Technical Deliverables progress and status
• Establish and maintain expectations on deliverables and quality, establishes and maintains a QA/QC process
• Facilitates resolution of issues related to deliverables
• Ensures effective team dynamics and communication
• Escalates items as needed in an organized and timely way
• Supports work of the Program Manager and ensures team alignment
• Writes documents including project schedules, summaries, procedure guides, process diagrams, flow charts, and best practices guides, agendas, and follow up memos.
• Participates in strategic planning for the Business Consulting and delivery organization.
• Ensures that team members perform to the highest level of quality and professionalism.
• Advises in project cost estimating of proposed solutions, delivery methodology and work breakdown tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering or an applicable area, with a Master or Ph.D. in associated field preferred.
• Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the architecture industry.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience working with BIM solutions, products, and standards.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues.
• Proven ability to work with diversified technical, sales, and project management teams.
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Must have strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management, including the need for various environments, system maintenance and solutions sustainability, risks mitigation.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering effective presentations to teams and to customers.
• Must be able to break down complex topics into a common language understandable by non-technical/business oriented audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including international travel.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Strong knowledge of industry practices leveraged in business process consulting.
• Solid understanding of BIM workflow process between architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Experience leading the development and sustainment of a solution portfolio and related offerings.
• Previous consulting experience.
• CAD / BIM management experience is desirable, especially with Design and Construction based software.
• Experience with BIM workflow process between architects, engineers and civil leveraging Autodesk products (i.e. Revit, Civil3D, Autodesk Navisworks, Infraworks, etc.).
• Familiarity with a variety of project methodologies and practices such as waterfall and agile (scrum).
• Knowledge of cloud-based processing and technologies.
