Vevo’s Director of Music & Talent will be responsible for securing artists of varying levels to participate in Vevo’s suite of original content. He/She will work closely with programming, editorial & industry relations team to identify artists that will resonate with Vevo’s audience. He/She will be Vevo’s ambassador to the artist/manager community. He/She will work with Vevo’s various production teams to ensure all artists/managers arrive at shoots prepared and surprise free.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
◦ Working with artist labels, management, agents and publicists to book talent for interviews, performances and events
◦ Negotiating production fees & expenses
◦ Brainstorming lists of in-cycle talent within client’s requested parameters
◦ Coordinating promotional slates for pitches with programming team
◦ Representing Vevo on in-studio and field shoots
◦ Continually working to maintain and improve Vevo’s relationships within the artist, management, label and publicity communities
◦ Identifying emerging talent for Vevo programming
◦ Staying informed about artist schedules, upcoming projects and other media appearances
◦ Managing artist office visits and shoots
◦ Generating confirmation sheets and wrap-ups for artist bookings
◦ Reports to Senior Director Music & Talent, North America
◦ This role is based in the Vevo LA office
Qualifications:
◦ Minimum 5 years of music/celebrity booking experience
◦ Strong relationships within the music industry
◦ Exceptional oral and written presentation skills
◦ Influencer, facilitator and collaborator with a positive attitude
◦ The ability to work with teams internally and externally from ideation to production
◦ Exceptional brainstorming and idea generation skills
◦ Ability to negotiate win/win solutions and problem solve under pressure
◦ Advanced MS Office skills, most importantly Powerpoint
◦ Must be willing to travel extensively, often with short advance notice
◦ Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
