Condé Nast is seeking an iOS developer to build innovative mobile products for Epicurious. Condé Nast regularly partners with Apple on new features and was recently an Apple News Launch Partner. If you're a talented developer, our team is the place to be. As an iOS Engineer, you'll play a key role on our small but efficient team that's responsible for the end-to-end development of all our projects. You can make an impact here and your projects will be used by many people every day.
Our flagship app is written in Swift and React-Native. You would also have the opportunity to work on web projects.
What are we looking for?
• Deep knowledge of Apple's iPhone SDK framework
• Deep knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, REST, XML, and JSON
• Experience with public and/or private APIs
• 4+ years of object oriented programming experience
• 4+ years of iPhone OS programming experience
• 4+ years mobile application development
• Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Experience with consumer facing UI development
• A hands on, self-starter attitude
• Love for writing high quality code while shipping great apps
• Experience unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and reliability
• Experience participating in mentoring and skills transfer to junior members of the team
• Recent Experience building an iPhone app that is live in the App Store
• Experience with Location-based Services
What would you be responsible for?
• Build, release, and support features for Epicurious
• Work closely with Product and Design teams
• Make disciplined use of source control and bug tracking systems
• Participate in software code reviews to ensure the creation of high-quality, robust code by all team members
• Craft a developer experience for our platform that is smooth and elegant
• Contribute to open source and help us maintain our own open source projects
• Collaborating with engineering teams across Condé Nast
