Summary:
The Marketing Strategy & Planning group provides business-critical insights, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps drive the performance of the Sales and Marketing Organization. The group focuses on aligning the highest-level company priorities with a strong pulse on day-to-day trends and operations.
The Executive Director, Marketing Planning, is responsible for using strong analytical thinking to identify growth opportunities for the business and solid interpersonal skills to influence strategy at the highest levels. This includes partnering with various Corporate and Regional teams to coordinate and drive strategy through a hands-on approach. The Executive Director will lead a team with ownership for market share and competitive flow analysis, customer lifecycle insights, panel research and in-house campaign execution.
Core Responsibilities:
• Partner with multi-channel sales and marketing teams to understand where and how to optimize performance
• Develop and shape marketing and sales growth opportunities collaborating cross-functionally across stakeholders and assets
• Synthesize multiple analytical insights into compelling client strategic plans to influence very senior executives .
• Own and manage analysis and insights for specific areas including:
-Market Share and Competitive Flow share; build a best-in-class capability to provide timely, actionable insights to drive in-quarter' tactics and performance
-Customer lifecycle insights and associated research done by external vendors
-Xfinity Insights Community Evolve the best-in-class customer panel into a useful tool for day to day business insights
• Build, develop and empower an in-house campaign execution team
• Communicate insights to key stakeholders including:
-Operational and strategic management updates.
-Campaign (and customer) insights and opportunities to help refine brand positioning, messaging, targeting and budget allocation across channels
-Multi-channel campaign performance and reinforce support for multi-channel marketing to realize business objectives
• Partner with brand teams to support sales force automation (SFA) tools and programs
• Drive best practices and explore innovative communication channels, tactics, technology and partners with the potential to deliver on brand growth objectives
• Promote multi-channel marketing and digital innovation across the organization
Education and Experience:
Education Level-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Years Experience Generally requires 14+ years of related experience
Other Specific skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration
• Strong quantitative skills developed over a period
• Ability to provide intuitive plain language understanding of quantitative analysis to C level executives
• Demonstrated success in identifying key business trends and issues with a consultative application of analytical insights.
• Leadership in developing high performance teams.
• Ability to provide hands-on analytical support and be involved in to day-to-day activities of the team
