Purpose:
To manage the system administration, creation and preparation of onscreen content for delivery to our onscreen testing platforms ensuring all onscreen tests undergo user acceptance testing and are published on time to our test delivery platforms.
PST work closely with multiple teams across Pearson to deliver fit-for-purpose and accurate content and parameters for Onscreen delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
Onscreen Production & Setup:
Manage and facilitate the completion of all tasks related to the production of onscreen tests, mark schemes and all other onscreen related material. This will involve the creation and conversion of onscreen items using our onscreen authoring and publishing tools to ensure tests are published successfully.
Ensure all Onscreen Go live and Retire test requests are actioned accordingly and required stakeholders notified.
Manage and maintain all system and database administration tasks including unit setup, paper creation, workflow management and taxonomies.
User Acceptance Testing
Manage the process of all UAT related activities ensuring that all User Acceptance Testers have the required tools, access and training to undertake UAT correctly.
Work with stakeholders to schedule and agree UAT sessions ensuring any changes to scheduled sessions are communicated out to all involved.
Collate and distribute UAT responses
Project Management
Ensure that requirements are agreed with key stakeholders (inc. customers, contractors, suppliers), and risks and issues are identified and managed
Team plan of work maintained and conflicts between projects identified and managed without jeopardising on quality
Ensure that targets are met for quantity and quality of test material at each stage of the project
Timely communication within project teams and with key stakeholders
Progress Monitoring/Reporting
Tracking progress of all onscreen content at each stage of the set-up process to ensure key deadlines are met.
Attendance at operational delivery meetings, reporting on progress and representing the Operations Manager where required.
Providing accurate and timely management information to a variety of stakeholders’ and producing action plans based on the management information provided to ensure milestones are met.
Update and report on key management information to the PST Operations Manager and Operational delivery meetings, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
All risks and issues are identified, escalated to the Operations Manager and actively managed to ensure a speedy resolution.
Maintaining Security
Maintaining the rigorous security of all live materials (hard and soft copy) at all times
Ensuring appropriate access levels are granted to all staff involved in onscreen test creation
Quality Management
Quality checking set-up parameters and test metadata to ensure they are error free and fit for purpose
Maintain rigourous version control of onscreen tests/test items
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure correct population of paper/item bank and the use of appropriate sample material
Work with relevant Pearson departments to streamline internal Onscreen processes
Organise, manage and support all regression and user acceptance testing of future software releases for our onscreen authoring and publishing tools.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders to facilitate a successful production process ensuring that all relationships are managed with excellent customer service
Become the primary contact for all Onscreen Set-up related queries, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of what is expected of them and that they have the necessary resources and support to ensure agreed outcomes and deadlines are achieved.
Liaise with IT and Pearson Vue for the development of systems solutions & internal integration.
Customer Service
Maintaining communication between key stakeholders at all times
Responding to customer queries (internal colleagues) in a timely and appropriate manner
Process Management and Improvement
Continuously review, challenge and update the methods, processes and workflows used in our onscreen production processes ensuring all changes are captured and documented.
Proactively manage change within the production process ensuring that all changes are embedded into the process as quickly and as effectively as possible.
Management Support:
Represent CPS and/or deputise for the PST Operations Manager at cross-functional meetings.
Support PST Operations Manager in forecasting of Onscreen costs and timescales
Training:
Training and day-to-day support, as and when required, for Production Set-Up co-ordinators in the team – including any additional resource brought into the team during times of peak activity.
Provide training and ongoing support to all users of onscreen authoring and test publishing/retiring for both UK and International customers.
Maintain team documentation – to include process maps, training materials, step-by-step guides.
Delivery of system presentations, demonstrations and training to UK and international colleagues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems and processes whilst ensuring any changes are incorporated into all training/communications to colleagues across the business.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential:
• Good interpersonal skills are required with the ability to negotiate and persuade.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Good numeric and statistical skills are required.
Desirable:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience that demonstrates ability to analyse, understand and prioritise information
Previous Experience
Essential:
• Proven previous experience involving project or process management work
Desirable:
• Understanding of PQS, in particular onscreen test creation.
IT Literacy
Essential:
• Intermediate level of ability of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Pearson Test Delivery platforms and Authoring tools
