A lot about you:
As a Product Manager at Yahoo! Sports, you will define and develop innovative and engaging features for the sports and fantasy games users are passionate about. The successful candidate will develop and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside of Yahoo! to deliver great products, and engage and delight users. We are looking for someone with a passion for sports and fantasy sports with excellent analytical skills.
Your Day:?
• Directs, designs and implements a comprehensive product strategy with an understanding of the market, customer and competition.
• Responsible for the definition and ongoing management of a product or family of products at all stages of the product lifecycle including defining a product concept and requirements.
• Manages trade-offs throughout the development process in conjunction with the development team.
• Continuously deliver advances in the product by maintaining a deep understanding of competitive offerings and how they impact consumers.
• Building positive relationships and trust through strong cross-team interactions, on-time delivery, high quality products and innovation. ?
• Pull and analyze data to drive decisions based on data, not assumptions
• Crawl all qualitative and quantitative data around our product and users to understand where growth opportunities lie – you should be an expert on the business and fluently understand all KPIs
• Strategize and conduct growth experiments – analyze results and iterate
You must have:
• Passion for sports and fantasy sports
• Strong analytics background with a bias toward using data to drive business decisions
• Excellent decision making ability under pressure with tight timelines
• Strong product sense with an ability to envision technology solutions with market and user needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Prior working experience as a Product Manager within a mobile or web-based consumer products and services company with history of delivering products that meet or exceed goals, on budget and on schedule
• Undergraduate degree a must, Computer Science degree highly preferred.
