Responsibilities
As a member of the Digital Sales Operations group, the Inventory & Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing inventory forecasts, maximizing remnant revenue and maintaining digital ad products within the order management system (Operative.One). This role will work closely with individual station sales teams on ad packaging, finance and research to provide monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting as well as fulfilling ad hoc reporting requests . This position requires excellent Excel skills, knowledge of the digital advertising industry, and the ability to turn data into actionable information.
This position is based in New York City at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Create forecasts for digital ad products (including local inventory share of network products)
Review & approve digital ad campaigns, ensuring teams adhere to protocol, rate card rates and inventory availability
Define & help communicate standard booking procedures
Build and maintain reporting related to inventory and availability; work closely with digital research to ensure benchmarks and targets are being met
Analyze monetization metrics to recommend strategic adjustments to digital rate card
Partner with business development to provide data for total monetization outlook
Help build strategic packages for inventory and revenue maximization, communicating daily with stations sales staff to guide media plans
Manage remnant partners and strategy, taking into account sales goals and sales channel conflicts
Recommend, refine and develop new reporting deemed necessary for revenue operations
Develop and maintain inventory documentation
Additional ad hoc reports and projects as requested
Qualifications/Requirements
Excellent Excel and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of the digital ad industry, including an understanding of online ad serving and ad products across display and video
Experience in working with DoubleClick & Freewheel ad serving products & Operative One
Expert analytical skills, the ability to derive conclusions without a complete data set
Top organizational skills, able to prioritize multiple projects
Able to communicate information at the appropriate level to sales people, middle, and senior management
