Responsibilities
•Anticipate, react to, and resolve technical and operational issues with urgency
•Act as the prime representative of On-Air Operations on a 24X7 basis to both internal and external clients, and business partners
•Supervise and direct the on-air technical staff throughout the entire broadcast day, including more than 30 NABET-represented operations specialists
•Maintain and execute network broadcast schedule: NBC network distribution to 230 affiliates, and Telemundo network distribution
•Coordinate broadcast operations throughout the four domestic time zones
•Supervise pre-recorded, live and time zone delayed program schedules
•Ensure availability and quality assurance of all scheduled on air media, including programs, live control rooms, remote feeds, commercials, network promotions and public service announcements
•Resolve all facility, equipment, media and broadcast scheduling issues
•Provide professional and technical communication to senior management, program producers, studio control rooms and affiliate representatives
•Record and communicate all changes and discrepancies to the on air schedule including live programming, breaking news and on-air defects
•Adjust manpower assignments and hours based on operational demands and changes
•Leadership role in project management and presentation
Qualifications/Requirements
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in an On-Air broadcast environment with strong understanding of the television production and distribution process
•Willing to work 24/7/365 in a dynamic fast-paced environment

•Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
•Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (internal only)
Desired Characteristics
•BA/BS degree; concentration in Communications, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred
•Experience in a “live” broadcast environment, with Master Control and •Transmission experience preferred
•Technical experience with automated, real-time systems, familiarity with RF modulation and MPEG devices.
•Ability to troubleshoot video and audio problems.
•Experience with commercial traffic and facility scheduling operations
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Project Management background
•Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
