Job Summary:
Experienced and dynamic national sales manager to drive strategy focused on national interactive revenue growth for Comcast Spotlight. The National Interactive Sales Manager must be a forward thinking revenue producer with strong expertise in the digital video space. Ideal candidate must have ability to communicate and coach the value proposition of our integrated TV/digital multi-screen offering and differentiate it from competitors.
Reporting to Spotlight's Vice President, National Advertising Sales, the NISM will be responsible for existing and new interactive revenue growth through NCC Digital across all Comcast markets, regions and geographies. This manager role includes stimulating sales account activity, tracking performance, team building and managing day-to-day accountability with NCC Digital. The NISM will also play an important role in collaboration with linear, market-by-market focused, multi-screen national sales organization across Spotlight and NCC where focus is on building a multi-screen 'TV everywhere' marketplace with tradition spot buying organizations.
Primary Role /
Core Responsibilities:
• Dedicated Spotlight sales manager for national interactive sales. Will manage digital and advanced advertising sales across Comcast's VOD DAI, in-stream digital video and display advertising products with NCC Digital Sales to maximize revenue, share and growth. Laser focused on tactical execution under the strategic guidance of Spotlight National Sales leadership, management and teams.
• Responsibilities include active role with setting sales strategy, account & business development, conducting sales meetings, participating in joint sales calls and general ownership of all NCC Digital single, multi-market or 'footprint' Interactive sales with RBO agencies(s) and clients.
• Executes strategy and tactics consistent with corporate interactive objectives, and within Spotlight's digital video product capabilities, to accelerate national interactive revenue in manner consistent with Spotlight Strategic Plan.
• Deploys new products & capabilities, sales strategies and positioning of OneSpotlight alignment to NCC sales leadership and the national sales organization.
• Provides national interactive leadership & guidance to Spotlight RIL's, DOS's, NSM's, RSM's and to NCC Digital Sales in conjunction with Spotlight national senior sales leadership. Supports NSM's efforts and accountability to achieve interactive budgets and goals. Participates in joint sales calls with Spotlight NSM's and NCC linear sellers as well.
• Supports market and regional multi-screen sales with NCC linear teams and Spotlight NSM/RIL/ISM to ensure market-level ownership and consistent participation of NCC linear sales execution and campaign management.
• Will be active with Spotlight national leadership; keeping Spotlight interactive in front of NCC leaders & Digital Sales.
• Will regularly communicate with advertiser and agency leads to explain or support national products or advance deals. The NISM are active participants with business development for national sales.
• Helps define the needs of our sales organization through collaboration with dedicated national interactive planning, campaign management and trafficking resources across Spotlight and NCC.
• NISM is a dedicated leader in helping our national interactive enterprise improve skills, develop product knowledge, develop new business and close deals.
• Supports and promotes teamwork and the principles of OneSpotlight with internal and external groups.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Key Competencies:
• Must be able to communicate the value proposition for our integrated TV/digital offering and differentiate it from competitors.
• Must have knowledge, understanding and experience with the national digital video marketplace, and national digital competitive landscape in general.
• Confident and successful Multi-Screen Video seller who excels at training/coaching/teaching for NCC Digital Sales leaders, AE's and Spotlight national sellers.
• Can lead, direct, manage and sell with teams of media sellers and managers.
• Has above average skills with communication, giving presentations, and verbal and written follow up.
• Is organized as applies to goals and tasks including general compliance with meeting organizational timelines.
• Ability to consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be dedicated worker and professional committed to success and performance achievement. Will travel as necessary.
Experience Required:
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
• Generally, requires 2-5 years of highly relevant national digital/interactive/multi-screen sales; and sales leadership experience.
• Candidates could potentaiily be bases in Detroit, MI or Minneapolis, MN
