Job Description
Seeking a new opportunity?
Ubisoft Chengdu Studio is currently looking for a fulltime Art Director willing to challenge their creativity on one of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises.
As our ideal candidate, you are experienced and confident in setting the art benchmark for your team, while you coach, supervise and inspire them to create great game assets and environments.
Since you will be collaborating with different departments, good social skills and excellent communication with everyone involved in the design process is a must.
Requirements
We want to hear from you if:
• You have at least 5 years’ experience as an Art Director on AAA games
◦ At least 1 shipped title as a lead
• You have Excellent knowledge of 3D Software (3Ds Max, zBrush, etc)
• You have Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Corel painter or equivalent software
• You have Good understanding of game engines (Unreal, CryEngine, Unity, etc)
• You have Excellent artistic judgement
• You have Excellent communication and interpersonal skillswith a team oriented attitude
• You have Excellent self-management and self-learning skills
• You have experience in in team workflow planning and organization and are able to delegate tasks and responsibilities within your team
• You have a working proficiency in English, both oral and written
• You are comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary team
• You are responsible, proactive, accountable and personableand able to remain positive and constructive in any situation
• You are committedto team development and sharingof best practices
• You are able to quickly adapt to changing situations and take on new challenges
• You possess excellent creative skills and insights
• You are passionate about creating and playing games
Pluses
We REALLY want to hear from you if:
• You have prior experience on open world AAA games
• You have been involved in the creation of a AAA game from start to finish in a lead position

• To participate in the schedulingof the project and maintain planning foresight
• To provide your team with regular feedback and all relevant information for their tasks
• To actively seek to improve work methods and pipelines
• To act as a mentor to the team and share knowledge and best practices
• To organize regular team meetings to follow up and reviewthe production status
• To maintain a close working relationship with your direct managerand with the other teams and act as a representative of your team
• To communicate the progress of your work to your peers and leads
