Role Scenario
Shazam is a truly global business, and our workforce is representative of that. Our Payroll Manager is therefore charged with making sure that all of our people get the right pay at the right time, which is no mean feat. With organisation and dedication, it will be a breeze for you with your diverse payroll background, and your ability to work across different time zones.
Where Does The Role Sit?
The role is based in London, with one direct report and currently reports directly into our CFO, who is based in NYC.
What Will You Do?
• Monitor, manage and execute the delivery of Shazam’s global payroll within the ADP systems for UK (Freedom) , US (Workforce Now) and Australia
• Become the subject matter expert for payroll internally, and develop strong relationships across our global business. Responsible for resolving all pay queries, correction of errors. Investigate complex queries and deal with other enquiries of a non-routine nature, providing assistance and specialist advice to staff as required.
• Develop a focus on continuous improvement and evaluation across your team and the wider business; finding process inefficiencies and taking strides to change them.
• Lead, develop and mentor your small but perfectly formed payroll team.
• Manage and assist with the setup of payroll in any new international territories
• Understand when and what is required internationally, such as W2s (US), and process as needed
• Track what is required for EOY and month end processing and ensure everything is maintained throughout the year.
• Keep abreast of all developments and legislation surrounding payroll, pensions and benefits. Ensuring all legislation is implemented and adhered to by Shazam.
Experience: Required
• Significant global payroll experience.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel – able to utilise and run complex formulae.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Proactive attitude to working.
• Good problem solving ability.
• Able to work autonomously but actively be a part of continuous process improvements through wider Finance team.
• Experience with any ADP payroll systems such as ADP Freedom would be a huge plus.
