Overview and Responsibilities
Executive Assistant to EVP of Original Series + Development; Spike TV
• Coordinate and organize a busy calendar – including but not limited to sending detailed calendar invites, anticipating schedule adjustments, and coordinating internal/external meetings and appointments by managing correspondence with other offices and distributing necessary information/materials
• A passion for both unscripted and scripted television, and a knowledge of the TV development process
• Basic administrative phone skills – answering phones and taking detailed messages, setting up conference calls, maintaining the phone sheet, rolling calls and keeping a professional and polite demeanor while utilizing discretion at all times
• Maintain and distribute (as needed) all submissions and new drafts/cuts of current development projects and give constructive feedback on submissions, new drafts, and cuts to ensure executive is responding on projects in a timely manner, as well as being knowledgeable of development and on-air projects
• Coordinate travel and maintain all expenses
• Assist in coordinating for company events with multiple departments (premiere parties, holiday parties, etc)
• Assist in development process for specific projects; take notes on pitch calls and other meetings
• Have the ability to work efficiently and cohesively with all company departments
• Self-starter, team player, and efficient problem solver with the ability to anticipate the needs of the executive and team at large in a fast paced work environment
Basic Qualifications
1-2 years of administrative experience; excellent PC and mac/apple skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, current apple iOS); great oral and written communication skills; TV coverage; ability to adapt and work well under pressure; strong interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; good organizational and follow-up skills; and a love for television and the creative talent behind it
high level or agency desk experience preferred
