Responsibilities
The Vice President, Audience Studio Sales will be a key leader within the Audience Studio, which is a new and exciting division of NBCUniversal’s ad sales organization. The Audience Studio is NBCUniversal’s suite of data products, allowing advertisers to target specific audiences to achieve their campaign goals across all channels. This position would be responsible for the monetization of all of NBCU’s data-driven, cross-portfolio and cross-channel advertising products. She/he would play a critical role in helping to shape the direction and monetization of data-centric products and offerings to grow overall advertising revenue across the NBCU portfolio. Our team is leveraging vast amounts of consumer, viewership and usage data to change how traditional (linear) TV and digital advertising is packaged, sold, planned, delivered, optimized and measured for clients. The Vice President, Audience Studio Sales will be part of a small agile team of disruptors looking to shape the convergence of traditional TV and digital advertising.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute all aspects of NBCU’s Audience Studio’s revenue generation strategy taking into consideration the marketing objectives of advertisers as well as the Audience Studio’s product offerings
Oversee all sales initiatives for the Audience Studio including setting sales plans and targets to support revenue growth and identify new opportunities to increase sales.
Develop and maintain client lists, meet and exceed quarterly sales budgets and goals
Manage agency and client relationships through day-to-day contact
Use data driven assets to cultivate monetizable solutions for clients and ensure clients receive superior customer service
Understand client’s campaign objectives and work internally to develop data oriented solutions that target and measure campaign success
Develop accounts from existing linear business to digital business
Own, manage, and develop relationships with clients (agencies and advertisers)
Identify and unlock innovation budgets within agencies
Work to establish strategic partnerships with agencies and advertisers to advise on and co-develop new data capabilities
Responsible for prospecting and closing new business to run on NBCU networks
Strategically develop clients’ packages and presentations, utilizing excellent presentation skills
Accurate forecasting of business and ability to lay out both short and long term go-to market plan
Drive creativity and innovation throughout the sales process
Collaborate with senior sales leaders across NBCU to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications
10+ years sales experience or equivalent hands-on training with a proven success record
Candidates must be computer literate in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and must have the capacity to analyze numeric data
The successful candidate will have excellent presentation skills
Desired Characteristics
Prior sales experience or sales equivalent experience in television or in a digital media environment
Understanding of audience targeting, DMPs and optimization
Familiarity with addressable television, and the agencies who transact in new media
Understanding of programmatic buying and selling
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and professional with superior negotiating skills
Detail-oriented and self-starter
Knowledge of and/or experience with Digital Advertising
Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and client relation skills
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strength in prospecting – generating proposals and closing the sale
Ability to build and maintain relationships at the senior level
A four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university
