DESCRIPTION:
CBS Radio is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Consolidations to join our corporate team. Reporting into the VP of Financial Planning & Reporting; this position will have an active role in overseeing the monthly forecasting process, providing reporting and ad hoc analysis, as well as the annual budget and long range plan.. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in consolidating and managing a monthly forecast process.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist with coordination of the monthly re-forecasting process including financial narratives and commentary, variance analyses, trend analysis, etc.
• Maintain ongoing detailed analysis of financial performance and forecasts for multiple markets and overall company
• Prepare and present monthly consolidated financial reporting and analysis for senior management
• Build financial models and develop strategic assessments to address key business issues
• Coordinate with markets, analyze changes from previous annual plan, identify sensitivities and diversions from plan
• Develop and implement formal processes for the markets
• Participate in the planning and administration of the annual budget and long term planning process, including detailed review and analysis of market budget submissions and overall company
• Serve as primary contact for CBS Radio’s Live Events & Experiences business, including event profitability analysis, and market allocations
• Prepare and present various ad hoc financial analyses for senior management
QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a hands-on, management position with direct interaction with senior management and requires strong analytical, organizational, process oriented skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must also have:
• Must have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three years’ experience in budgeting, financial analysis and accounting. CPA plus
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Consolidation, Forecasting, Financial Reporting and Modeling
• Ability to work with minimal direction and handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining close attention to details and accuracy
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with and create materials intended for all levels of management
• Expert in Excel, financial modeling and PowerPoint
• GL accounting (preferably Oracle) and SAP BPC (formerly Everest) experience a plus
• Demonstrated media interest preferred
