Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of AC Project Managers, Project Specialist will provide project administrative support across a variety of projects. Project Specialist will also manage small, low risk projects that do not require significant project management or domain experience or projects where a trusted subcontractor is delivering all or most aspects of a project. Job duties include:
• Support definition of project resource plans, including internal and contract resources. Managing Autodesk and subcontractor resources during project delivery. Monitor projects to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters. Support revenue recognition process.
• Support development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and project control tools utilizing standard PM and PSA software. Comply with internal reporting standards and practices.
• Support management of a variety of project types. Project types include process consulting, business and management consulting, and training. Basic understanding of project management techniques and processes for a variety of IT-based projects.
• Work with the resource manager and/or Project Manager to ensure resource forecasting projections are accurate and current.
• Work with the Project Managers to produce revenue, professional fees, and resource summary reports.
• Support document management and storage.
• Assist Project Managers with creation of presentations and reporting.
• Support customer satisfaction activities.
• Other tasks as assigned by team manager.
Critical Competencies/Minimum Requirements
Project Management
• Project Management (2-4years) – demonstrated experience with leading simple, low risk projects. Demonstrated ability to lead project teams to achieve project objectives and deliver projects within schedule and budget.
• Desire to earn PMP Certification a plus
• Writing skills – demonstrated ability to review and write scopes of work, project-related documentation, and develop and present presentations.
• Fundamental understanding of project financial metrics (revenue, cost, profit margin)
