Overview and Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are to be fulfilled effectively and efficiently. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Create schedules, show calendars and daily production reports
• Responsible on assignments to work from Pre-Pro (concept) to Post Production (delivery and wrap)
• Staffs and manage any freelance staff hired for the production management on the project.
• On location for studio or remote and traveling, multi-camera productions
• Vendor negotiation

• Vendor agreements

• Inform temporary freelancers of MTVN policy and procedure
• Supervise production and crews on location and stage shoots
• Create and manage small to medium-scale budgets
• Supervise contracts for project based vendors.
• Supervise 3rd Party Productions
• Support Production Manager, Line Producer & Director by managing specific areas within larger-scale budgets
• Oversee Production Coordinators & PA crews on all budgets
• Set up new vendors in the finance system by having appropriate forms filled on and submitted accordingly.
• Approve invoices
• Run cost reports for all productions
• Interface with Production Finance to explain variance & cost analysis
• Working knowledge of MARKET / SAP
• Interface with Production Finance on:
• Monthly accruals
• Reclasses
• Actuals
• Working knowledge of all internal general accounting procedures
• Report financials on a weekly basis to Director of Production and help maintain team financial grids.
• Continue to develop and train those individuals assigned to them on projects:
• Participate in departmental management training program
• Attend monthly meeting with team leader to discuss management development
• Deal with non-performance issues of PC and PA
• Complete assessments of direct reports
• Communication skills

• Conflict avoidance and resolution skills
• Demonstrate working knowledge of MTVN T&E policy
• Approve production T&E's and petty cash requests
• Approve invoices, timesheets and managers checks on their assigned productions
• Maintain all relevant departmental administrative responsibilities as they pertain to the PC and PA
• Attend all technical skill-building and training workshops as requested and required
• Stay current with all relevant industry trends and terminology as they apply to the overall position
• Participate in PC and PA appraisals
• Participate in the interviewing process
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Solid proven experience in production management
Additional Qualifications
• Knowledge of program production is essential
• Experience in budgeting, cashflow, cost analysis and rights negotiations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to take initiative with excellent problem solving skills
• Diplomacy and Professionalism
• Stringent attention to detail
• Knowledge of Production Insurance and Health & Safety of Productions
• Positive energy and a passion for production management
• Excellent IT skills, particularly with Excel, Power Point and Outlook
