Cinesite is recruiting a Technical Services Manager for our Montreal studio. The TS Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, including infrastructure, servers, desktops and software support to our end-users.
The Role:
• Ensure end-users are provided support in an efficient, effective and timely manner
• Responsible for the Studio’s Datacenter & Infrastructure, including Private & Public Internet connections, Servers, Storage, Firewalls and Backups
• Manage a team of Systems Administrators and Desktop Support Specialists to ensure their workload and priorities are properly aligned with Production and Studio needs
• Coordinate TS Requests to ensure they are properly assigned to TS staff members and other Support teams
• Responsible for Incident Management
• Responsible for purchasing of hardware and software/licensing
• Maintain Vendor relationships with Manufacturers and VARs
• Manage and maintain Hardware inventory for both Infrastructure and end-user Workstations
• Manage and maintain Software Inventory and Licensing
• Communicate regularly with Production in regards to their TS requirements
• Establish, document and maintain TS policies and procedures
• Provide technical support to end-users (when required)
• Complete any other related tasks as required
We’d like to talk to you if you have:
• A minimum of five year of experience working with Linux, MacOS and Windows
• In-depth hardware knowledge of PC and MAC, including high-end workstations, laptops, printers and design tables
• Strong knowledge of Servers, Firewalls and Storage
• Demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate needs and propose innovative solutions
• Strong leadership skills and previous experience managing a team
• Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team spirit and positive attitude
• Works well under pressure
• Knowledge of VFX and Feature Animation industries is an asset
