Responsibilities:
• Smart Data is the integration and analysis of data from internal (Fibe TV, internet, mobility) and external (Numeris, comScore, Vividata, TouchPoints, etc.) sources that drive value-rich insights for our business partners. The “Senior Manager, Strategic Insights - Smart Data” will play a leadership role in leveraging smart data internally and with advertising agencies and clients.
• Smart data project management lead working with various stakeholders in a matrix environment to create innovative and customized insights that drive increased advertising revenue.
• Act as a strategic link-person between the Bell data science team (Bell BI) and the advertising sales team & their agencies – with a focus on campaign planning optimization.
• With a thorough understanding of the advertising media ecosystem and the consumer decision journey - translate the agencies’ business needs into concrete smart data projects and lead those projects from inception through post-implementation monitoring.
• Work with Bell Business Intelligence experts to leverage data resources and develop insights & tools that address media sales and programming challenges such as: cross-channel attribution (marketing mix modeling), cross-platform audience measurement, TV-PVR-VOD viewership evaluation, audience response to advertising, Out-of-home/mobility patterns & geo-location analytics, etc.
• In conjunction with Bell Business Intelligence, build an econometrics framework to measure the advertisers’ return-on-ad-spend (ROAS).
• Own, build and continually improve relationships with internal and external clients. Convincingly communicate with them to explain the benefits, limits and requirements of proposed smart data solutions. Build compelling customized presentations to various stakeholders.
• Establish credibility and trust with internal and external partners to become a key advisor and deliver value beyond the scope of requests.
• Research and evaluate internal and external data sources to increase value of related smart data solutions. Work with the Bell data science team on media data fusion projects.
• Stay up to date on trends in smart data marketing and tools.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related area. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 7+ years experience in advertising media research. Very strong knowledge of the advertising ecosystem, measurement methods, media planning & buying processes.
• Thorough understanding of the consumer decision process (marketing funnel), segmentation and marketing optimization.
• Proficient in analytics, mathematics/statistics and highly comfortable with regression analysis, marketing mix modelling and cross-channel attribution models.
• Advanced skills using spreadsheet and presentation tools.
• Strong project management skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional mandates and deliver actionable insights.
• Strong relationship management skills; ability to collaborate and rally key business partners (clients, agencies, internal partners) around new projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Performs well in an environment with competing priorities and multiple projects.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
