With nearly 20,000 organizational customers and millions of student users, Blackboard is the world's leading education technology company. This position will be responsible for partnering with the North America and Professional Education and Government Go to Market Team (NAHE Proed). The individual in this positon will be responsible for managing necessary sales operations as well as identifying KPIs/metrics to help guide strategic decisions around forecasting, performance and other strategic initiatives in support of the overall GTM goals. Specifically, the Director will:
• Serve as a Chief-of-Staff to the respective GTM VP
• Create and lead weekly cadence for sales forecasting process across the respective sales organization
• Maintain sales results by rep, by platform, account and team and provide YOY analysis as well as other KPIs.
• Consolidate weekly forecast data; providing forecast analysis to guide forecasting decisions. Compare historical forecast data to develop trends.
• Help facilitate and resolve day-to-day sales operations challenges with internal teams albeit compensation issues, pricing/contract issues and other deal related issues.
• Work with internal business operations team to ensure SFDC alignment with GTM requirements.
• Create necessary analytics in support of strategic decision-making around market and business opportunities as well as driving performance
• Participate in annual strategic and sales organization planning process for respective GTM team
• Monthly operational review cadence for respective GTM team
Required Skills:
• Strategic Thinking
• Program Management Skills; ability to create and execute against a framework for successful remediation of identified business challenges
• High level of analytical ability and accuracy
• Strong Excel skills, with focus on modeling
• Leadership Skills; act as Chief-of-Staff for supported teams
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to successfully work across functions
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Skilled use of Salesforce.com
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA strongly preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in finance, sales operations or sales compensation, ideally working for a global organization dealing with large complex system designs, implementations and integrations
