Job Description
The project manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of new versions of the game on time and on budget while maintaining a high level of commitment and motivation of team members.
Responsibilities
• Participate in the definition of deliverables and risks
• Validate the estimates of tasks performed by Leads and determining interdependencies between tasks
• Establish a general schedule of deliverables
• Identify human resources requirements to achieve the objectives of deliverables
• Assign tasks and / or deadlines to team members
• Follow-up with Leads deliverables
• Ensure information sharing and effective communication with those responsible for the production studios working on the brand
• Working in an agile environment with SCRUM methodology: defend the methodology, philosophy and practice
• Link with the studio management, be transparent, concise but complete
• Monitor budget
• Provide inspirational leadership by communicating proactively with team members
• Develop team members by identifying training needs and areas for professional development
• Perform or participate in performance evaluations of the team leads
• Ensure the development and follow-up of the recruitment plan
• Participate in the recruitment of new team members
• Manage conflicts within the team
• Facilitate process improvements, demonstrate ease to go beyond junior staff macro-management and manage effectively delegated responsibilities
• Ensure the availability of equipment and tools required by the team
• Strengthen understanding of the production process within the team
• Resolve any problems that the team may encounter
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience in project management
• Passion for games and technology
• Experience in the video game industry is an asset
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Proven leadership qualities
• Be results-oriented
• Ability to analyze and synthesize
• Be flexible in the organization of work
