Ubisoft Singapore is currently hard at work as the lead studio for an unannounced project on console and PC.
Summary
The Singapore studio is looking for a Finance Analyst for a key AAA game development project.
Reporting to the Operations Producer, the incumbent will support the production team on all financial planning, P&L analysis and budget optimization.
He will participate to the daily life cycle of the project from concept to production, launch and post launch phases and will provide directional information to facilitate decision making. He will implement his recommendations and partner with Finances, BI, Operations and Development teams, as well as Ubisoft HQ.
Mission
The main objectives of the Finance Analyst are to:
1. Prepare, consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets including co-development, staffing, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
2. Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
3. Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
4. Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
5. Draft and present monthly performance reports to producers and executives
6. Provide reports, explanations and recommendations on various topics whenever required
7. Identify innovation management improvements and costs analysis to improve the development cycle. Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
8. Partner with Operations, Business, BI and Live Teams to analyse and understand the innovation ROI, to improve the Post Launch activity and optimize acquisition, retention and monetization of our audience
9. Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to optimize costs and improve financial performance. Carry out variance and ROI analysis; identify and monitor new relevant KPIs
10. Take part in special projects to drive and implement solutions;
11. Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance, develop forecast models and Identify trends
Qualifications
Relevant experience
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position
• In video games production OR in Software/IT industry with R&D experience
Core skills
• Knowledge of data reconciliation in different systems, solid knowledge of databases
• Experience in drafting and presenting reports
• Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of business objects and budgetary tools
• Strong communication skills (spoken and written) and good interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Analytical skills, rigour and attention to detail
• Drive, motivation and team spirit, passion for gaming
• Proactivity, autonomy and integrity
