Looking for a challenge? Fancy seeing your name in the credits of a AAA game? Our audio team is looking for an Intern Sound Programmer. You will assist the Sound Programmer in creating and maintaining the audio systems and technology in support of the production of AAA games. You will be working closely with the Audio Director, Sound Designers, Game Designers and other Programmers to implement and realise the game’s audio experience.
The main and routine tasks of the intern sound programmer are to assist the sound programmer in the following tasks:
• Implement and debug audio systems for AAA games
• Implement and maintain tools and systems that allow designers to realise the vision of the games.
• Analyse the performance of the audio systems and optimize.
• Document and support audio feature creation, enhancement and usability.
Qualifications
• Must be enrolled in a local institution and internship must be recognized by the school
• Preferred internship period: 4 – 6 months
• Passion for Games and Audio
• Strong C++ programming skills.
• Good knowledge of mathematics, software development practices, optimisation strategies and debugging techniques.
• Good knowledge of developing for multi-threaded systems.
• Knowledge of audio fundamentals (filtering, reverb, compression schemes ,etc)
• Preferred but not essential:
◦ Experience with third party audio middleware such as Wwise/FMOD etc
◦ Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP)
◦ Other game development experience
