HarperCollins Christian Publishing is in search of a Digital Marketing Coordinator for their Direct division. HarperCollins Christian Publishing’s Direct division is looking for a dynamic digital marketing coordinator who will be responsible for day-to-day blog and email production of content and eCommerce marketing campaigns reaching more than 1 million readers each week.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Essential Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for assisting in email testing, reporting and analysis, and stays ahead of email best practices with coding and design of email marketing campaigns.
Email Production
• Create, edit, and proofread a variety of templated emails, including content newsletters, deals emails, new product announcements, devotionals, etc. from content provided by editorial team
• Ensure all emails are clean and accurate and all links have been thoroughly tested before handing them off to be scheduled
• Code all emails with appropriate links and analytics tags
• Assist in email tests, including subject line tests and other creative testing
• Assist in email reporting and analysis and help incorporate learnings into existing and future campaigns
• Be a best practices resource for email marketing campaign design, and coding and testing methodologies, keeping abreast of emerging technologies and online/social/email successes
• Other related responsibilities, as required
Qualifications:
Desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, education and skills:
Work Experience:
• 2+ years in a publishing, marketing, eCommerce, mass media, or design role
• Working knowledge of direct response email marketing tactics and design elements
• Experience with direct-to-consumer sales and marketing
Education: Bachelor's in marketing, design, or related field
Industry Knowledge:
• Firm grasp of marketing best practices in content marketing and/or eCommerce preferred
• Prior book publishing experience helpful but not required
Skills:
• Ability to manage large amounts of content, quickly and accurately
• Skilled in writing headlines and calls-to-action in email
• Experience with blog platforms such as WordPress
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with eMail platforms such as Silverpop, MailChimp, etc.
• Some graphic design experience, preferably with Adobe Photoshop or Dreamweaver
• Ability to code HTML/CSS and troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML/CSS and other aspects of email execution
