Description
We are currently looking to hire Data Warehouse administrator for Integrated Services Group (ISG) within DevOps organization to help manage all aspects of Data Warehouse applications administration & build deployment. This position is an individual contributor role with responsibility for planning and managing Data Warehouse applications. You will play lead role in establishing database strategies in support of Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions. You will provide database optimization support to developers building Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions. You will be a key resource in managing data conversions and special processing utilizing per a strong understanding of underlying DW schema and business intelligence applications processes.
Job Responsibilities:
• Administration of Informatica(EDW), Business Objects and Business Intelligence.
• Manage and optimize all Business Objects services
• Monitor reports, users, resources and tune as needed
• Create and enforce report developer best practices
• Dev, QA and Stage environment support of Data Warehouse infrastructure.
• Support upgrades
• Support of authentication requirements
• Help to enhance and debug reports/code as necessary
• Provides guidance and mentoring to co-workers on use of reporting tools and techniques.
• Run a regularly scheduled User Group meeting.
• Possess strong customer focus, along with effective written and oral communication skills.
• Work with minimal supervision.
Required Qualification and skills:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or other technology discipline.
• Relevant work experience as typically acquired 4 to 6 years
• Experience with Informatica(EDW), Business objects and Business Intelligence.
• Data modeling tools and EDW design concepts.
• Database design and tuning.
• Database back-up and recovery strategies.
• Data extraction and manipulation experience.
• Expertise with export, transform and load tools preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of data modeling tools.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts (Kimball)
• Advanced MS SQL server skills preferred.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with vendors, co-workers and users.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
