Overview and Responsibilities
The MTV + MTV2 Marketing team works to develop engaging and groundbreaking ideas that create awareness, increase brand perception and promote tune-in via cable/television, OOH, digital, social, print and experiential stunts on the ground. We are searching for a Vice President to deliver on our goals and exercise their skills and knowledge of the industry to contribute to our innovative team. We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated team player who is a strategic thinker and superbly organized. The Vice President will report directly into the EVP of Marketing and oversee all marketing activation plans for the MTV2 + MTV2 brand, programming priorities, initiatives and events.
Responsibilities
• Lead the strategy and development of the paid media campaigns for MTV + MTV2 initiatives including programming priorities or brand awareness
• Execute advertising plans across all media channels: TV, Digital, OOH, Radio, Print and Paid Social
• Collaborate with internal departments including Brand Creative, Social, Programming, Press, and Production for all marketing initiatives
• Execute on-the-ground & non-traditional marketing efforts in local markets to promote channel initiatives or tent-pole events
• Oversee and manage the Media agency relationship
• Managing external partners/agencies in developing and executing all stunts/activations
• Manage overall marketing budget
• Responsible for guiding the development of the department, which includes all levels
• Conduct performance reviews and set goals for staff
Basic Qualifications
• 10-15+ years holding Marketing/Advertising positions
• Event management experience
• Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Undergraduate degree
Additional Qualifications
• Strong and diverse client experience, Youth Centric and TV network clients a plus
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills; with direct past experience in writing and briefing media agencies
• Strong analytics capabilities – and understanding of optimization and measurement tools
• Successfully managed a team of 2 or more
• Strong business and personal ethics
• Effectively manages multiple projects in a fast paced, every changing environment
• Strong mentoring skills and desire to teach creative team
• Deep connection to local advertising/media community and people resources
