Create maximum engagement across the digital environment for STARZ Original Programming by managing the development and execution of consumer-facing marketing initiatives and programs that touch a variety of digital channels. Work with agencies and internal groups to implement customer-centric online marketing experiences that extend the show brand, grow the social fan base(s), and increase general awareness of STARZ Original Programming.
• Manage STARZ Original programming digital marketing initiatives, which include social media, digital experiences, SEM, email marketing, YouTube, and paid media campaigns.
• Oversee multiple social channels (ie: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr) for a given STARZ original series, from the development of a cohesive social strategy to the execution of a detailed editorial content calendar.
• Perform social media community management duties when necessary, including copywriting, posting, live tweeting, replying to fans, etc.
• Partner with the marketing and publicity teams on strategy and creative to ensure optimization of all programs with a focus on driving viewership, engagement and ultimately subscriptions.
• Collaborate with digital agencies to ideate and create compelling, innovative digital experiences and custom content that drive engagement and awareness (i.e. - microsites, apps, games, etc).
• Maintain robust knowledge of digital media and technology marketplaces, research and report competitive findings, and be an ambassador for digital within the business.
• Liaison to internal and external teams to analyze digital metrics and trends to improve and/or add functionality, drive higher engagement and longer time spent on site/page, and increase conversions in an effort to improve program performance.
• Ensure data, learnings and ROI analysis from marketing campaigns are reported back to the business.
• Optimize ways to extend the digital campaigns in support of STARZ Originals to affiliate partners extending reach of the digital efforts.
Required Experience:
◦ Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline preferred; and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
◦ 6 years of prior marketing experience with at least 4 years of digital and social marketing experience as an account executive, marketing manager, or social community manager, including specific experience executing digital marketing plans.
◦ Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
◦ Demonstrated experience and passion for social media; educated in all current social platforms and new/on-the-horizon platforms.
◦ Exceptional people and project management skills; ability to manage relationships with various business units, departments and consultants and external partners/agencies. Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and focus while adhering to strict project timeline and budgets.
◦ Must have a flair for writing consumer-facing copy in the social media space, and be able to take direction from creative and marketing teams and run with it.
◦ Strong understanding of growth and movement of digital landscape.
◦ Experience with a variety of social and digital publishing, monitoring, and analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Adobe Social, Nielsen Social, Spredfast, Telescope, Percolate, etc.
◦ Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function well in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
◦ Ability to accept changes readily, in job responsibilities and the work environment.
◦ Use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are absolutely required.
