Senior Product Manager, Discovery Experience

Position Summary:
The Senior Product Manager will lead the evolution of content discovery for our streaming applications and continuously manage the service roadmap for content discovery. S/he will be working closely with internal disciplines as varied as business, design, marketing, programming, finance and engineering in addition to external partners to turn that roadmap into reality. S/he will also be the product owner for one or more Agile Scrum teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Define and drive SiriusXM content organization, discovery, recommendations and search strategy and roadmap.
• Work closely with UX designers, engineering, programming, editors, data scientists and external partners to get the right content to our subscribers and trailers at the right time.
• Help create the means for our experts to translate their knowledge of content curation into our recommendations and search platforms.
• Create user experiences for content discovery that are seamlessly integrated into our product experiences.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria and develop a prioritized backlog.
• Utilize user behavior data, financial data and A/B testing to prioritize the development of features and projects.
• Budget development and management.
• Work closely with other product managers to provide a consistent experience across all of SiriusXM's products.
• Be the product owner for one or more Scrum teams and work closely with the Scrum Master, development lead and QA to ensure a regular release cadence on assigned platform(s).

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in content management, recommendations and search technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in product management of consumer digital / software products.
• Agile training and experience preferred.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Strong knowledge of media and entertainment.
• Deep experience in product management in a field related to search or content discovery/recommendation.
• In depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative research.
• Ability to utilize and interpret data to drive and support product decisions.
• Experience with A/B and multivariate testing of UI/UX concepts.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Comfortable working with talent, artists and high profile individuals.
• Good public speaking and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
• Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
• Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Strong interest in current events and pop culture, as related to assigned channels / programs.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
• Experience as a Product Manager for APIs or other back-end system software for a web and/or mobile application.
• Understanding of complex system architecture and client/server interactions
• Understanding of database concepts and technology (from a business level)
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Agile tools experience
• Atlassian suite experience (Jira, Confluence) desirable.
• Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
