Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Product Management is responsible for owning the execution of strategy, development of business requirements, planning and project management for key marketing initiatives across the business The right person for this role will be able to oversee many complicated projects at once, lead with strong product and project management skills, and have acute attention to detail. The role has a specific focus in products that drive conversion and retention metrics owned by Marketing. Functional areas include: billing/subscription system enhancements, marketing database development, call center/IVR/agent portal functionality, and customer onboarding web and app development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serves as lead Product Manager for all Marketing initiatives involving IT/Engineering/Development.
• Prepares and communicates project goals, scope, communication plan, risk management plan, and expectations to all stakeholders.
• Prepares project timeline containing tasks, durations, resource needs and dependencies.
• Leads key cross functional stakeholders through the business requirement gathering process.
• Interacts with project stakeholders to elicit and document Marketing project requirements by translating business needs into testable, developer-ready requirements.
• Produces professional quality project artifacts including but not limited to business requirement documents, requirement plans, models (e.g. data, event, context and process), traceability matrices, use cases, issue logs and other documents as needed.
• Ensures that system requirements meet Marketing needs and that new functionality can be successfully integrated into Marketing campaigns.
• Partners with project stakeholders to manage requirement change requests throughout the project.
• Respectfully challenges requirement additions that lead to scope creep.
• Identifies and communicates risks as well as possible solutions.
• Assists the Partner Marketing in determining if and how new systems or system enhancements may improve process flow and Marketing function.
• Serves as a critical resource and liaison between subject matter experts and technologists throughout the project lifecycle.
• Works with Program Management, Scrum Master, BA/SA, SQA, Development team to determine appropriate test plans, deployment plans and supports the product launch.
• Secures Business Requirement Document approvals from project stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years in an operational marketing role, Business Analyst or Project Management of Marketing initiatives or Product Management role with focus on Marketing owned efforts.
• Minimum of 3 years Subscription Marketing or equivalent industry experience.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Business or related field preferred. MBA is a plus.
• Experience with working in a multi-cultural, global, high tempo and dynamic environment.
• Travel between Dallas/NY office will be required.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Familiarity with Agile, SDLC and various project management methodologies.
• Six Sigma certified or Agile trained a plus.
• Support of deliveries to a mission-critical production environment.
• Management of multiple concurrent projects.
• Management of complex projects.
• Experience in communicating status, risks and issues to project team and Sr. Management.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio.
• Exposure to or knowledge of AgileCraft.
