Position Summary:
Responsible for creation and production support of Information System solutions with automotive OEM's. Will interface with OEM/clients to resolve technical issues. Previous experience in an Business-to-Business (B2B) interface role or software background and ability to be self-motivated in the management of design/projects is essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Creates systems specifications for B2B interfaces with Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers, including web services, API's, for management of customer data, mobile applications and vehicle services.
• Principal Information system contact with OEM and relevant Tier 1 partners.
• Works cohesively with Company Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure technical solutions are compatible with Company internal architecture.
• Remains current with Company internal architecture design strategy.
• Champion establishment of B2B connectivity (SFTP, VPN, etc).
• Adheres to company security policies for interfaces
• Follows team best practices.
• Supports effective management of costs related to Department budget.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required. Masters in Comp Science, Engineering or related field desired.
• Min 3 years of experience in Information System/Software Requirements experience.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Shows an aptitude to acquire knowledge about the business and applicable technologies.
• Min 5 years of experience in Information System/Software Requirements experience.
• Experience and solid understanding of Client/Server and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience in System Design and System Test Planning. Experience in Agile methodologies, software programming and application development is a plus.
• Experience with SFTP, RESTful APIs, OAuth2.0, XML, JSON, TCP/IP and Ethernet environments as well as Sybase SQL Servers, Siebel, DB2 and alarm monitoring operations is a plus.
• Self-starter, take initiative in determining business and project priorities.
• Ability to solve problems of a complex nature with a vision to anticipate issues before they arise.
• Project management experience; ability to develop a plan, execute and keep on track.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients and team members from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Possess leadership capabilities when driving technical discussions internally as well as externally.
• Some travel required.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite.
• Experience with IPX, TCP/IP and Ethernet environments as well as Sybase SQL Servers, Siebel, DB2 and alarm monitoring operations is a plus.
