Position Summary:
The Director Business Development Europe takes a key role in establishing and developing an environment which allows SXM expanding the business into Europe. This mainly includes the interaction with European and country authorities as well as a close interaction with customers and partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interface to European authorities for all eCall related activities and other regulations
• Oversee development, maintenance and quality of the EU PSAP database
• Identification of opportunities for growth through increased account penetration of existing and new product offerings or competitive displacement.
• Establishment of intensive multi-level relationships with customers and partners to identify and convert sales opportunities into incremental business.
• Understanding of client business problems/needs/challenges and identification of opportunities for SXM solutions to deliver clear value to the business.
• Research of competitive products and development of target market studies in order to identify new customer potential for SXM products and services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define ongoing product requirements, competitive analysis and market potential for new product opportunities based on market and customer data.
• Experience in identifying key technologies for IP creation.
• Attendance at industry specific events.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering , business, or equivalent experienc
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in the automotive industry (infotainment/connectivity)
• Language Skills:
◦ German: business fluent (native preferred)
◦ English: business fluent

Technical Skills:
