Position Summary:
The Software Engineer will support development of mission critical systems that provide access control of and content protection for SXM content delivered over satellite and the Internet. The Software Engineer will work with internal departments as well as 3rd party vendors in all aspects of the SDLC. This is primarily a linux/Java/Spring/LDAP position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee Conditional Access Framework codebase.
• Oversee entire Conditional Access software Architecture.
• Design, develop and support new Conditional Access systems.
• Implement software fixes for existing systems.
• Attend routine Change Request meetings and assist in "triaging" bugs and requests.
• Work with Conditional Access Operations during software deployment.
• Provide tier 3 support as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• none.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS in Engineering or Information Systems. MS desired.
• 5 + years experience in architecting, designing & developing software solutions.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Ability to work in a myriad of personality types in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Highly organized.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Comprehension of Software Development Life Cycle and Configuration Management.
• Knowledge and experience working in a linux environment.
• Java Programming Expertise.
• Experience with the Spring framework.
• C/C++, .NET experience a plus.
• Experience with LDAP.
• Experience developing web services.
• Comprehension of encryption standards and methodologies desired.
• SOAP experience helpful.
• Knowledge of OAuth and/or SAML desired.
