Position Summary:
SiriusXM is looking for a Manager, Digital Marketing Operations with a strong background in digital marketing and project management to join the Marketing Operations team. The individual in this position will drive operational excellence in email, as well as establish processes to support other emerging digital channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor vendor service level agreements and ensure best practices are implemented.
• Schedule/conduct weekly email operations update meetings and schedule quarterly business reviews with key vendors.
• Conduct root cause analysis when issues arise.
• Ensure security policies and practices are met at each vendor.
• Report on health of email deliverability and compile weekly channel reporting for management.
• Manage multiple vendors, including weekly meetings and partnering with marketing stakeholders.
• Manage email preference center projects, partnering with technology partner, Possible Now, including:
◦ Identify areas of opportunity in current email preference management.
◦ Partner with Possible Now to develop robust data architecture to solve current and future needs.
◦ Prioritize enhancements and project manage incremental work.
◦ Manage/remediate all issues/needs on behalf of marketing stakeholders.
◦ Establish reporting and enable marketers to access aggregate view of campaign and trended unsubscribes.
• Manage vendor migrations, as needed.
• Champion adoption of new technologies.
• Proactively identify process efficiencies and make recommendations.
• Pull reports on ad-hoc basis.
• Consult on email best practices.
• Support the development of an email reporting dashboard.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or above) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 4+ years in B2C or B2B digital marketing with a focus in email production/channel management.
• Agency/email service provider experience preferred.
• Experience working in email delivery platforms (such as Cheetahmail, Salesforce and Oracle).
• Experience using digital project management tools (such as Basecamp, Jira, Rally, etc.).
• Ability to understand and efficiently query enterprise-level databases (beginner to intermediate proficiency).
• Experience working closely with Legal/Security/Compliance teams is strongly preferred.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Experience working in a matrixed organization with a commitment to serve all "internal customers."
• Experience developing multi-channel digital marketing plans.
• Experience developing formal business/functional requirements documentation.
• Experience developing and tracking/monitoring KPIs and analyzing results.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and able to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences -- from developers and database admins, to marketing managers and executives.
• Strong, proven organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented. Must be able to manage multiple projects, timelines, budgets and campaign objectives at once.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment; successful track record managing complex, large-scale web projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively, while creating actionable insights.
• Able to switch effortlessly from strategic planning and consultation to detailed execution.
• Good public speaking and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of email deliverability (including SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Working knowledge or understanding of SQL.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
