This is a temporary, full-time, benefits eligible position currently scheduled to start in January 2017 and run through September 2017.
Responsibilities:
• Development and review of math test items, including technology enhanced items, for large-scale assessments
• Provide training and feedback to item writers based on established standards, cognitive complexity, and best practices for item development
• Work as a member of a team to develop, review, and revise assessment materials
• Interpret standards to create both test blueprints and item development plans
• Develop test and item specification documents
• Facilitate client meetings
• Participate in test construction activities
• Some travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• At least two years of experience in math education required
• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or equivalent education & experience required
• Familiarity with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS-M) required
• Some general knowledge of test development including processing, scoring, and reporting of large-scale assessments is preferred.
• Some experience in large-scale assessment programs, and in particular item development, is preferred.
• Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients.
• Must have excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills to coordinate multiple activities and to adapt to unexpected requests. Familiarity with Excel, Adobe, Word, and the technology skills and confidence necessary to work with unfamiliar programs.
