Media interns gain direct experience in working with media teams to understand and address business and campaign needs while developing key skills in media planning, reporting, working in tools, problem solving and communication.
Media interns help coordinate the execution of campaigns/projects and provide general support to the media team(s). You’ll maintain weekly/monthly reports, organize team meetings with media vendors (and attend awesome events with them!), produce meeting notes and pass along key media kits and case studies from meetings, assist in building media timelines, spec sheets and decks/recommendations, and learn VML processes, including media vendor IO building and media invoice approval. This position is an entry-level role in the channel department and you’ll work closely with a mentor and supervisor to achieve your goals throughout the internship.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for taking accurate vendor meeting notes, capturing key vendor differentiations, and transferring media kits and case studies to the team
• Maintain/Update weekly status reports, depending on client
• Assist with development and editing of business documents
• Assist in entry-level financial activities, such as drafting ATBs and vendor IO, and approving media invoices for payment for review with a supervisor
• Research industry trends and media offerings to begin building self-knowledge of industry, as well as writing POVs
• Learn media tools such as DoubleClick, STRATA, comScore, MRI and more
• Assist in pulling media reports and putting into templates, pulling planning reports from tools such as MRI and comScore, and building planning decks
• Active in optimizations across digital media including paid social, online video, display ads and paid search

Required Skills:
• Junior, senior or nontraditional student in college or recent graduate with coursework or experience in a related field
• Solid communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, ability to follow up and knowledge of overall media logistics
• Initiative, enthusiasm to learn and ability to follow direction
• Excited to learn and willing to take guidance
• Interest in digital and media required
