Production Manager
The role of the Production Manager is to oversee the management of the deliverables by supervising the smaller, multidisciplinary teams.
Type of Position: Permanent, full-time.
Responsibilities:
The main and routine tasks of the Production Manager are to:
• Participate in defining the content deliverables, milestones, and various decisions pertaining to the necessary modifications (changes to be brought by certain milestones, etc.) and implement new problem-solving processes;
• Organise and coordinate the different activities and resources necessary to the production process (planning tests, debugging, shifts, vacation leaves, etc.);
• Ensure that all of the information pertaining to the consumer is given to team members in order to position the game;
• Share ideas that could improve the game with team members;
• Assess workloads when defining the scope in order to help the teams;
• Understand the game’s vision so as to intervene effectively when defining the scope;
• Have in-depth knowledge of the content of the deliverables that he/she is responsible for;
• Ensure that the teams have the necessary technical support (DM, Hardware, DT (doc, tools));
• Ensure that the actual advancement of the deliverables truly reflects what was set out in the planning stages;
• Approve and/or get approval for the work carried out by the members of the sub-team when the work is done;
• Ensure the proper bug management of the deliverables;
• Identify, validate, and communicate the resource and skills needs of the team;
• Carry out and/or validate the team’s performance assessments and SOI;
• Identify and manage bad performance and/or interpersonal conflicts;
• Participate in identifying the technical training, management, and team needs;
• Efficiently communicate with team members so that they are informed of current projects and the advancement of the work;
• Ensure that the project and the financial aspect (hours adjustments, opening and closing the project, “work package" etc.) are integrated, approve the time sheets, and validate vacation times;
• Carry out all other related tasks.
Training:
Bachelors or Masters degree in business administration or project management.
Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience in video game development;
• Project Manager with demonstrated ability to successfully deliver major games/projects in terms of quality standards, budget, time & resources.
Other Skills:
