Description:
The Marketing Programs Manager, EMEAwill generate demand through the use of Blackboard’s channel partners in the region, through marketing programs developed directly and launched through Blackboard’s International Marketing Team, and through participation in global campaigns. The role will work closely with the other members of the International Marketing team to develop, align, and execute on go-to-market activities, contribute to pipeline generation, and track the results of all marketing activities. The position will report to the Head of Marketing - EMEA. This position will be based in Blackboard’s London office.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage, and execute all aspects of marketing programs including budgeting focusing on creating demand for Blackboard’s products and services from both existing clients and prospects across both direct and indirect channel markets across the EMEA region.
• Coordinate the development, localisation, launch, and follow-up of demand creation and client engagement campaigns across EMEA.
• Drive digital marketing initiatives to be embedded by targeted channel partners to drive lead generation and expansion in target segments.
• Become fluent in the marketplace dynamics, client segment needs, roles, and personas and develop and execute scalable marketing activities based on this client-centric and segmented approach.
• Employ marketing best practices, cross-regional scalability and develop further innovative ideas to drive demand across Blackboard’s markets and channels.
• Work with the with the other members of the International Marketing team, outside agencies, and contractors as well as other available resources to manage the creation, adaptation, and successful roll-out of content and marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate the finalization and localisation of content. Assure all materials developed are on brand.
• Engage with Blackboard’s Demand Management Team to adapt strategic campaigns and content for use in EMEA.
• Work with the regional marketing leads and channel teams to ensure campaigns are rolled out across all regions and channels in EMEA.
• Take regional ownership of local Blackboard websites – ensuring content is both localised and appropriate for the regional audience.
• Develop campaign reporting & analytics abilities to effectively report on marketing campaigns.
• Other tasks and projects as needed.
Competencies:
• Deep understanding of the education industry, business drivers in emerging markets with a focus on the needs and pains of the administrative, academic, and IT leaders.
• Become fluent in the marketplace dynamics, client segment needs, roles, and personas in priority growth markets across the EMEA region.
• Be fluent in the business drivers for the markets in which we operate across EMEA and able to articulate them into meaningful programmes and content to open up new markets.
• Highly creative with a proven ability to develop and manage engaging programmes across different channels.
• Ability to be innovative with respect to programme creation and problem resolution, and ability to be process-oriented with respect to marketing operations.
• Experience interfacing with all levels in a Sales organisation including senior leadership, account executives, consultants and solutions engineers.
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills to bring together stakeholders from disparate functional groups to enable program creation, support, and execution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously.
Skills and Experience:
• B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent in marketing, communication, or business; Master's degree with international aspects is a plus.
• At least 7 years of marketing experience working in B2B industry, tech vendor or educational technology arena.
• Strong planning and project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritise, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive communicator and track record of strong teamwork and collaboration with all levels of an organisation.
• Can operate responsibly with limited supervision in complex environments and able to drive projects from conception through to implementation.
• Fluency in English required. Business level French, Spanish or German is desirable.
• Experience of Eloqua and Salesforce desirable.
• EU passport required.
• Ability to work intelligently in a fast-paced environment.
