In 2012 TVC Group was acquired by The Economist Group and has begun expanding its digital capabilities and client base around the world.
In support of this we are looking for a strong Account Manager to deliver day to day media activation and client servicing of The Peninsula Hotels and other luxury consumer accounts within TVC Global’s lifestyle and food & drink team
Accountabilities:
In the role you would be expected to:
• Deliver a high level of media coverage for clients and campaigns – demonstrating strong media relations skills to sell-in news stories, brand ambassadors, and content (for eg broadcast b-roll, online video and photography) across a range of media sectors
• Develop and implement sound media relations strategies – demonstrating excellent news sense, and a clear understanding of clients’ business objectives, and target media and audiences
• Establish a good day to day working relationship with clients – liaising with then on current projects, and with the ability to lead client meetings and conference calls if required
• Write press releases, and copy for other press materials when required
• Help manage media relations activity onsite at events, such as press launches and media days
• Monitor coverage, and compile evaluation reports and presentations
• Ensure campaigns are kept up to date on the Digital News Agency (DNA)
• Help maintain global database of relevant media contacts
• Work alongside production teams on delivery of campaigns, ensuring they are fully briefed on any projects (eg timings, key messages, branding, client and media requirements, etc)
• Be fully aware of the Company’s terms of business and standard client contract
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in the role you must have:
• Experience of working with multiple brands and stakeholders within an agency setting
• Strong understanding of the global media landscape and what works for specific sectors
• Media relations experience within lifestyle sector, particularly across broadcast and online
• An established network of media contacts
• Fluency in language(s) other than English would be desirable
• Knowledge of (or previous experience in) branded video content production
• Keen interest in sport, music, and culture
You will be able to demonstrate:
• Exceptionally strong writing skills, with the ability to write appropriately for differing requirements (eg press releases, messaging documents, website copy, case studies, etc)
• Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
• Ability to manage a multitude of assignments at once and prioritise accordingly
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to both work as part of a team, as well as individually when required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes (including Excel & PPT), as well as online tools including Gorkana, Kantar, RAJAR, Year Ahead, Red Pages, Social Media Library, etc
• Good understanding of social and emerging media
