Description
We are seeking a Deal Development Manager to work with named account executives on sales opportunities from deal development to deal closure while accompanying internal steps as the deal review board and contracting process. This includes getting early engaged in account reviews, analyzing the frame of a deal, pricing expertise and licensing optimization. This individual will work with our named account sales teams on complex and non-standard deals, which require a purchase agreement with Autodesk.
The team is responsible for engaging with the sales teams to support & develop financially sound deals that contain operationally supportable business models that meet our customer’s needs.This is a fast-paced, growing global organization (you will work in a team of 5) who seeks a proactive individual, a collaborative and pragmatic approach with strong decision making, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Scope & Responsibilities:
• Main point of contact and deal advocate throughout the Research, Proposal, Deal Negotiation, Quote and Closure phase of high touch deals for Named Accounts (but not limited to them).
• Responsible, in collaboration with other Deal Desk members, to get the customer profile and BAU modelling, a proposal based on DealMaker key initiatives and opportunity details, an official quote for the customer and a contract signature.
• Establishing, maintaining and updating a project plan with defined timelines. Maintain deal checklist.
• Lead the Deal Team in creation of a supportable, rationale deal for both customer and ADSK. Collaborate closely with extended teams in Legal, Sales Finance, ISM and Operations.
• Bring non-standard business model and operational requirements and risks to the attention of the broader organization, and driving resolution of these issues.
• Lead deal through appropriate approvals (incl. DRB).
• Prepare handover package to Business Center.
Experience Required:
• A good understanding of sales process, revenue recognition including structuring of a deal, contract management and revenue forecasting.
• Ideally having come from a software technology company or similar desktop solution provider.
• Strong communication & collaboration skills with a results orientated mentality, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Analytical, solution orientated & customer focused internally and externally.
• Experience of working within a matrix organization and have international and cross-functional exposure.
• Proactive individual who can reach out to across organizations to identify key stakeholders and ensure decision makers are provided with the necessary technical, financial, legal information to enable a the deal closure.
• Able to lead and advise on the deals and provide expertise advice.
• Strong business acumen and political smart and savvy to build rapport, lead and guide key stakeholders in the decision process maximizing on revenue and profit.
• Ability to learn Autodesk product quickly, not afraid to ask questions and flexible and adaptable to change across the organization.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
• Ideally a University Degree or Higher Certificate in Business, Administration or similar academic studies
