The Director of Ad Product will lead the process of defining and driving the Ad Monetization roadmap for all ad products as well as lead the team of Ad Product Managers to execute new and improved ad product and technology initiatives across our digital portfolio including: native, branded content, display, video, mobile and programmatic advertising. Reporting to the SVP of Monetization & Ad Products. This person will lead cross team collaboration, evangelize new ad products and identify emerging trends in the digital advertising landscape.

The Ads Product Group leads the strategy and development of beautiful advertising experiences at scale across our 25+ websites and mobile apps. We create the revenue-driving tools and products that are the lifeblood of our digital business. Our customers are the visitors who consume our content, brand engineering teams who implement our core technology and other companies who collaborate with us.
Core Responsibilities include:
• Develop the strategy for the Conde Nast suite of ad products, including our native, experience and platform teams.
• Drive innovation within native, branded content, display, video, mobile and programmatic advertising, balancing short-term revenue wins and long-term product goals.
• Develop a deep understanding of the needs and business objectives of internal stakeholders and engage at a detailed technical level to drive product requirements
• Evaluate current & new business opportunities, innovative technologies and make recommendations, decisions and design solutions based on analysis and strategic alignment
• Mentor, lead and grow a team of product managers while collaborating with engineering and design team members.
• Author PRDs, feature guides and release plans to enable the team to develop products on time and within budget
• Identify, implement, and integrate systems into most optimal ad operation infrastructure to maintain and/or increase functionality, efficiency, and stability of ad delivery
• Anticipate and manage project risks, open issues and deliverables
• Support and evangelize product/technical related inquiries from departments
• Drive feature prioritization, process improvements, and product development with an eye on key KPIs
• Stay on top of ad tech, media, and general technology trends; translate them into POVs, share with product and business teams, devise ways to assimilate trends internally
Qualifications:
• 5 -7 years of experience working in the digital media space, ideally with a premium publisher or ad tech company
• Strong technical background and deep familiarity with agile development and SDLC practices
• Ability to manage the product lifecycle and mentor teams to constantly improve the roll out of the product suite
• Demonstrated analytical skills to create insights and improve products
• Deep knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, specifically with ad servers, DSPs, DMPs and other media buying platforms
• Advanced Knowledge of ad-serving technologies: DART/DFP, FreeWheel, Third Party Servers, HTML, JavaScript, mobile, video, email advertising, Native, Salesforce and Project Management a plus.
• Energetic self-starter with a positive “can-do” attitude
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
