Field Researcher – Central Florida
Metrostudy, a Hanley Wood company, is the country's leading housing information provider, supplying accurate information to members of the building industry for over 30 years.
This Field Researcher position is a short-term, part-time, quarterly role. Field Researchers are responsible for driving through new residential subdivisions recording the building progress while updating builder, floor plan, and pricing information.
The work hours for this position are flexible: approximately 20-30 hours a week for a 2-3 week period during March, June, September and December (every 90 days). During that time the hours are flexible within the calendar week: Sunday through Saturday, 10AM – 6PM for Field Work/Follow-Up and the remaining hours for Write-Up/Internet Research. Time and mileage for all survey work will be compensated.
Hourly compensation for this position is $8.25/hr to start. Once a Field Researcher demonstrates a mastery of their position, compensation will increase.
The mileage rate is based on the current gas prices at the start of the survey.
Survey work will be completed in ONE the following areas:
Central Florida
• Marion County (East) – Includes Belleview, Ocala & Silver Springs Shores
• Osceola County (East) – Includes Harmony, Kissimmee, St Cloud & Yeehaw Junction
Midway through the survey period, all Field Researchers will be required to meet with the Field Research Manager for a progress evaluation session. At the completion of the survey, Field Researchers are responsible for submitting all collected information in person at the Maitland Office in Orange County.
Field Researchers are given the option to assist with the Data Entry process for the three to four weeks following the completion of the survey. These Researchers will be required to drive to our Maitland office and expected to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during business hours. At this time, hours spent in the office will be compensated; however, mileage, tolls and travel time to and from the office will not.
Field Researchers are also given the option to assist with the Data Collection process for the six to eight weeks between survey periods. These Researchers will be required to drive to our Maitland office and expected to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during business hours. At this time, hours spent in the office will be compensated; however, mileage, tolls and travel time to and from the office will not.
Qualified Candidates will Possess:
• A Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Clear criminal background (7yrs)
• A Reliable automobile
• Current automobile insurance
• The ability to lift 20lbs
• Attention to detail and detail orientation
• Basic math skills
• Ability to use GPS navigation systems and/or read maps
