Configure One Product Specialist Sales Executive - North America
location: Home Office, North America
Autodesk is already driving double digit growth and in order to drive additional growth the Company is making a strategic move to disrupt the CPQ market with an incredibly powerful value proposition that is wholly customer centric. The Autodesk Configure One sales team, that you would be part of, owns responsibility for growing the Configure One (CPQ) product and consulting revenues, working collaboratively with our Major Account and Industry Sales teams, currently focused on the Manufacturing sector.
The Configure One Product Specialist Sales Executive in each territory will be responsible for developing a sales strategy for and achieving their annual business plan goals. The sales activities will be backed up by a significant and innovative marketing campaign. Configure One CPQ is, by definition, a solution that involves multiple customer stakeholders and therefore it is important that candidates have strong, demonstrable experience of genuine solution sales which involve business process improvement discussions at all levels of the customer's business across multiple departments; and also possesses the sales acumen to navigate a competitive and sometimes political sales cycle. In addition to relevant experience of selling solutions such as CPQ, CRM, and ERP, previous experience selling SaaS as well as experience in manufacturing will be seen as 'plus points'.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for pro-actively instigating and leading Configure One CPQ sales campaigns to existing Autodesk customers and also to targeted prospects within a given territory / country.
• Recommends Autodesk product and service solutions designed to help customers achieve their objectives, involving Autodesk pre-sales resources as required.
• Provides accurate price quotations, effective negotiations and sets margins as per approved pricing guidelines and policies.
• Liaise and work with other departments within Autodesk (e.g. Operations, Legal Department) to achieve desired business results.
• Develop and maintain good regional knowledge including competitors and builds and executes on a plan to grow territory revenues.
• Develop and update the sales forecast and pipeline in Salesforce on a weekly basis.
• Make contributions to Autodesk outside of Account(s)/territory, for example: participates on core team, brings new idea into business and develops sales tools or new approaches.
Skills and attributes
• Proven track-record in direct software sales, with multi-year achievement against personal quota. Comfortable and confident dealing at senior management level, selling business value and business process improvement rather than a simple technology/price sell.
• Able to handle a mix of new business activities including prospecting with long term account planning and management of a small number of key accounts.
• Must be credible with Major Account and Industry sales teams, to enable strong working partnerships.
• Must have track record of selling software deals in the 250k+ range with evidence of some bigger deals an advantage.
• Must have sold software solutions into the Manufacturing industry. In order of preference, must have sold one of the following types of software packages: CPQ, ERP, CRM, CAD, CAM
• Experience selling SaaS solutions before will be seen as a 'plus point'
• Must prove aptitude to learn and demonstrate the Autodesk Configure One CPQ solution.
• Results oriented, strong verbal and written communication skills, self-aware, strong business ethics, with a natural ability and motivation to build strong customer relationships.
• Must be willing and able to travel as needed to achieve objectives.
• Some flexibility to work outside standard work hours for home time zone.
• 4 Year College Degree Required
