Overview and Responsibilities
This position is responsible supporting a wide variety of corporate communications and WW Marketing activities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Handling day-to-day management of several trades reporters who cover the studio, including handling incoming inquiries about projects / talent & filmmaker attachments
• Spearheading the writing of press releases on behalf of the theatrical motion picture division, as well as managing third party releases for all arms of marketing within the Domestic & Int’l theatrical teams
• Taking the lead on the studio’s various trade special issue pitching and story placement (including for awards specific issues)
• Managing media opportunities for our various studio wide initiatives (our lot wide volunteer day, the studio’s education initiatives, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience with established PR firms
• Knowledge of Entertainment industry and those publications that service this industry
• Knowledge of industry awards programs and principals
• 5+ years related experience preferred.
• Must be proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and internet software.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
