We are looking for excellent candidates to serve as Mobilization Organizers for our Canada team, focusing on recruiting, training, managing, and mobilizing supporters of home sharing and volunteers in the Toronto area. You will be joining an amazing global team and will help shape this exciting new program.
This position will be based in Toronto but may require travel throughout Canada, and will be a fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities:
1. Recruiting, training, and managing advocates of home sharing into self sustaining grassroots teams
2. Hitting or surpassing numeric organizing goals
3. Building a network of supporters and advocates in the local business community
4. Organizing events such as neighborhood meetings and training
Desired Qualities and Qualifications:
1. We are seeking smart, creative, self-starter candidates who are passionate about Home Sharing and the Sharing Economy.
2. Proven record of leadership and management in community organizing on political campaign, non-profit, or other relevant settings.
3. Be personable and able to connect with people in groups and in one on one settings.
4. Comfort with technology and using data to make decisions.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication.
6. Meticulous organization skills.
