Overview and Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager, Audience Activations creates marketing activation plans to drive engagement with and distribution of custom social media content across multiple platforms for Nickelodeon’s Franchise and Preschool brands.
Nickelodeon has an active, passionate fan base across multiple social platforms, from Moms of preschoolers to teenage and multi-generational fans of SpongeBob and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to kids of ‘90s Nick content. Our mission at Nickelodeon is to make the world a more playful place. We are searching for a Marketing Manager, Audience Activations to help us deliver on that mission by creating concepts and plans that inspire our fans to play, engage and discover something new with us and our characters. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work with beloved IP, help develop marketing campaigns for Nickelodeon’s most iconic brands, and research, explore and discuss the most exciting trends in social media every day.
The Manager reports into the Director, Audience Strategy and Activations (Franchise + Preschool).
Responsibilities:
• Create social media marketing plans, concepts, and strategies to drive engagement with both campaign-specific and editorially-driven content
• Collaborate with Social Media Community Managers, Franchise and Preschool Marketing stakeholders, and Creative leads to create marketing plans that solve business needs
• Establish KPIs and determine measurement strategies for social media marketing plans
• Utilize data and insights to develop testing plans that optimize performance and institute strategies that inspire fan engagement
• Spearhead paid media buys, collaborating with internal groups and agencies where necessary
• Craft one-sheets to articulate marketing plans with broader team
• Work with Insights Director to track performance and benchmarks of activations, sharing relevant information with key stakeholders
• Act as team resource to identify and share best practices and product updates in social media marketing
• Constantly research new digital trends, platforms and experiences that can inform our activation planning and drive innovation and performance
• Identify platforms, partners and technology agencies with whom we should potentially partner, and spearhead meetings
• Demonstrate the power and effectiveness of activation planning across social media, paid advertising, and influencer engagement through excellent execution, performance tracking and analysis
• Serve as vendor and platform business liaison for Nickelodeon Franchise + Preschool team
• Manage budget and invoices
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 4-6 years of experience working in social media or brand management; agency experience preferred
• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Nielsen Social Guide, Twitter Analytics, and Facebook Insights
Additional Qualifications
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Passion for Social Media
• 360° knowledge of consumer marketing
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative team player who excels at building relationships
• Extremely detail oriented
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Strong desire to work for a global brand and help drive innovation within Nickelodeon
• Passion for Nickelodeon and its IP
• Proficiency in Google Analytics, Nielsen Social Guide, Twitter Analytics, and Facebook Insights
• Must have a strong eye for creative
• Basic Photoshop skills
