We have a new vacancy for a focused, experienced and motivated Program Director.
McGraw-Hill Education has been successful in securing a large project with the Ministry of Education of UAE based in Dubai. The project is to deliver the digitalisation of all English and Math academic curriculum for the whole of the K12 level across the UAE.
We require a Program Director to oversee the project - internal and client coordination and administration of all aspects of the project including planning, organising, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
Key Responsibilities include –
• develop a detailed program, which reflects the contractual terms of the agreement in terms of delivery of key milestones and allows for reviews and feedback from the client within agreed deadlines
• develop appropriate governance up, down and across the organisation enabling regular progress reports, decision making and escalation paths as appropriate
• develop and implement project objectives and delivery to tight time lines to achieve the successful outcome of the program
• ensure that the program operates within the approved budget - monitoring and approve all budgeted program expenditures
• following an “Agile” methodology approach, ensure that program activities operate within the agreed project plan
• supervise Project management staff by providing direction, input and feedback
• develop all artefacts and maintain accurate records of program activities including minutes, change requests and sign off at key milestone stages
• interface with program work stream teams as well as EMEA Managing Director, Chief Product Officer, Chief Financial Officer, President of International and Professional and other senior stakeholders within McGraw-Hill Education
Requirements
The role would suit an experienced Program Director with strong track record of delivery coupled with a focus on customer relationship and sophisticated stakeholder management in a truly global environment.
Key Requirements include -
• extensive experience in a project based environment, with significant experience of working in the Middle East
• knowledge of client groups and/or issues related to the education sector
• experience of working with Middle East government or governmental bodies
• previous experience and knowledge of program management in complex highly demanding settings
• previous leadership experience – leading, managing, motivating and monitoring the team and ensuring the team are working to agreed deadlines
• Prince II or Agile project management approach would be desirable
• degree educated or equivalent - MBA level education preferred
