Overview and Responsibilities
Manager of Preschool Marketing will support the management and execution of short-term consumer marketing programs and development of long-term marketing strategies for assigned Nick Jr franchise properties. With hits like Paw Patrol, Blaze and Shimmer and Shine, Nickelodeon’s preschool portfolio is #1 in the ratings and at retail, where our beloved content inspires a diverse range of products and experiences. Our mission is to connect with kids and parents to keep our properties top of mind with viewers and consumers, and deepen affinity for our preschool IP and the Nick Jr brand. To do that, the Preschool Franchise Marketing team collaborates every day with the most creative minds in the business to reach parents and kids everywhere they are.
Responsibilities
• Support Director in development and execution of cross-business marketing plans to support key franchise initiatives, with a particular focus on trade partner and consumer-facing support
• Interface with external and internal resources, providing strategic thinking and creative consistency for our brand’s story and messaging across all departments and lines of business
• Immerse self in all areas of franchise content, provide brand input and approvals, and expertly represent properties on behalf of our team
• Be aware of latest technologies, social platforms and consumer touch points, so we’re being ever-mindful about the consumer and how to reach them
• Maintain property materials and ensure that latest calendars, one sheets and positioning documents are updated and distributed to appropriate audiences
• Identify best practices across the industry and be proactive in recommending new ways of solving team goals
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 4-6 years of experience
Additional Qualifications
• 360° knowledge of consumer marketing
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Extremely detail oriented
• Excellent PPT, Word and Excel skills
• Strong desire to work for a global brand and help drive innovation within Nickelodeon
• Passion for Nick Jr and its IP, and familiarity with the kids entertainment space
• Solid organizational skills and ability to troubleshoot and provide successful resolutions
• Knowledgeable about how to effectively communicate with parents about our IP
• Experience working within a television network or major consumer products company preferred
• Background in content marketing, digital marketing, live events planning is a plus
